Our philosophy…

At Acupuncture for Animals, our goal is to provide an holistic approach to medical care for our patients, integrating acupuncture with our patient’s current conventional treatments, or by using acupuncture alone, if appropriate.

Treatments are tailored specifically for each patient’s needs, with a focus on
improving well-being and quality of life.

Dr Rebecca Williams  BVSc CVA(IVAS)
Veterinarian

Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist

After 25 years in conventional veterinary practice, I found myself wanting to be able to offer an alternative for my patients. Particularly for those patients where conventional treatments were either not working or were causing unpleasant side-effects. This led me to study acupuncture, gaining a qualification as a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist.
I successfully integrated this knowledge and skill into mainstream practice for a number of years and was able to provide much needed additional support to a large number of my patients.
I have now stepped back from regular clinical practice, and focus full-time on pet acupuncture therapy.

Animal Acupuncture

Acupuncture has been used for centuries to treat various conditions, and works by stimulating the body’s own natural anti-inflammatory, pain inhibiting and self-healing processes.

What our clients are saying…

We were very fortunate to have Dr Rebecca’s expertise in helping care for our miniature schnauzer Moshio, who developed a chronic inflammatory condition in her liver and bile ducts. Combining regular acupuncture treatments together with a conventional medication regime proved to be integral to managing her condition and overall well-being. The opportunity to combine both kinds of care meant that we were able to offer Moshio the best quality of life possible. Thank you Dr Rebecca!

We have a 10 year old Staffy, who had recently been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia. I had to carry him up and down the stairs. His condition was too severe and far gone for surgery and our vet’s only recommendation was ongoing and expensive pain relief for the rest of his life. A work colleague suggested we try Acupuncture and recommended Rebecca. I was a little sceptical, but my wife swore by it for herself, so thought it was worth a try. A couple of days after only his first visit, he was back bounding around like a three year old. He has only gotten better with subsequent visits.

I would highly recommend Acupuncture and a huge thanks to Rebecca for her treatments.
